Description
Original 1939 model
The Gibson HG-00 is a very rare model, rare model, even rarer in black!
The instrument was essentiually the same as Gibson’s L-00 except the HG is effectively a Hawaian guitar, only differing from the L-00 by having a 12th fret body join, thicker neck, slightly heavier bracing, and an unslanted bridge saddle. The guitar would originally have had a higher nut, but like almost all HG guitars found today, has a proper dedicated guitar nut.
